These $1 temporary tattoos caught my eye at Walmart. I decided to try using them as paper embellishments! And it actually worked!
You will need:
- $1 Flash or Temporary Tattoos (Walmart)
- Cards or Cardstock to Embellish
- Water
- Spounce or Sponge
- Scissors
- X-acto Knife
- Paper to cover your work surface
Protect your work surface with newspaper or a disposable tablecloth.
Get out your envelopes and paper. Cut paper to desired size.
The tattoos come in a plastic bag. Remove the bag.
Cut around tattoo. Remove the protective clear plastic sheet.
Lay the tattoo face down on the cardstock. Wet your spouncer or sponge. Gently spounce the backing paper, being careful to not get water on the cardstock
Spounce the entire design until you can see the tattoo through the backing paper. With your fingers, gently rub the design into the paper for about 20 seconds.
Gently peel the backing paper away from the design. If you decided to have the design "run" off the sides of the paper, use an X-acto knife to cut away the excess.
Let dry for an hour or so.
Make some more!
