Use Hemp and Buttons instead of Ribbon!

Flower arrangements don't need big fluffy ribbon bows! Use hemp cord and vintage buttons to add a finishing touch to a vase of fresh cut flowers.

It's supposedly spring-time here in Minnesota. Seems rather cruel that seasonal allergies are starting even though there's still snow on the ground! Good joke, Mother Nature.

Here's an idea for customizing store-bought arrangements. I'm not a big fan of ribbon bows around flowers. Ditch the bow!

Find some buttons and hemp cording. Wrap the cording at least eight times around the vase. Tie a knot. Leave extra length on both ends.

String buttons on the extra lengths. Be sure to use buttons with big holes! Buttons with one big pass-through on the back work best. If the buttons slide around too much, tie a knot after each button is strung.

After you've strung all the buttons, tie a double knot at each end of the cord.

Easy and customized!
