One of my lovely neighbors is getting married! A couple of ladies and I are in charge of the shower. Of course, I needed to find the perfect craft project to complement the shower theme.

The theme is wine. She likes wine. I'm not 100% sure if she likes crafts . . . but the shower is being held at my house. My house = crafts. Everyone knows this :-).

I found the idea for wine charms at Allison's blog, Simple Silver Linings. She has a slightly different method  and materials list that you should totally check out!

You will need:

20 gauge wire
seed beads and/or other sized beads
wire cutter
round nose pliers

OPTIONAL:

drill
1/16 drill bit
scrabble letters
jump rings
pliers

Optional Steps:

Use a 1/16 drill bit to drill holes in the corner of your scrabble letters. Make sure to drill on a surface that can be pockmarked, i.e. a leftover plank of plywood. Please do not drill into your kitchen counters unless you're going for the 'woodpecker' look.

Get out the jump rings. Use the pliers to draw the rings through the holes on the scrabble pieces.

Find a wire cutter and 20 gauge wire. See how the wire was packaged in a spiral? Cut off 1 1/2 circles.

Add your beads.

Use the round nosed pliers to curl in the wire ends.

Done!
