Shirt to Skirt Refashion!

Refashion an elastic shirred (a.k.a. smocked) shirt or sundress into a fun skirt.

No sew! Five minute project :-).

You will need:
  • Smocked shirt or sundress
  • Scissors

Lay out your shirt or sundress.

Cut away the shoulders, leaving a band at least 2 inches thick of elastic smocking. The elastic smocking will become the waist of the skirt.

Trim fabric as close to the top row of elastic smocking as possible without cutting through the elastic!

 Done! How easy was that?!
